Details

There are few rifle calibers in the world that have become so ubiquitous as the 7.62x39. Designed by the Soviets in 1943, the cartridge was designed with stereotypical Russian characteristics: to work under any circumstance. Paired up with a robust rifle design – obviously the SKS and prolific AK variants – the round has served reliably in all environments, from desert to jungles to tundra, and is still trusted today for simplicity and dependability. The 123 grain soft point bullet by Wolf has a muzzle velocity of 2410 feet per second with over 1550 foot pounds of energy. This round is suitable for range training and target practice as well as civil defense and hunting in the growing number of bolt action sporting guns in this caliber or where hunting with semi autos is permitted.

Wolf ammunition was established as a commercial distributor of Russian mil spec ammunition – mostly from the Tula Arsenal. However, it has since grown to provide similar ammunition from multiple sources, but with the same established quality that shooters have come to expect from them. Cases are steel and non-reloadable, but the economy of this product is what keeps it flying off shelves for range day or just to have on hand.
