Details

The .380 Automatic Colt Pistol cartridge was presented in 1908 by John Browning as the largest caliber to be fired out of a simple, direct blowback pistol. While larger calibers are possible, the need for larger springs make such firearms difficult to operate. The simplicity of the blowback design makes firearm manufacturing cheaper, and as a result, the .380, or 9mm short, became one of the most widespread used cartridges to date. In fact, that simplicity makes the cartridge ideal for the ever smaller designs of concealed carry firearms on the market. The 91 grain full metal jacket bullet by Tula Cartridge Works has a muzzle velocity of 1010 feet per second with just over 200 foot pounds of energy. These are great for target shooting or for training: an important necessity for any firearm carried for the heaven forbid scenario.

Tula Cartridge Works provides ammunition for both the Russian Federation’s military arms as well as for export to other nations’ militaries and commercial export. While the steel cases are not reloadable, the cost effectiveness of this product makes it very attractive to shooters who wish to spend a lot of time at the range without breaking their bank account.
