John M. Browning developed the .45 Automatic Colt Cartridge to be a suitable replacement for the .45 Long Colt yet in a semiautomatic pistol. The large caliber, bullet proved to be an easy shooting round in his newly designed [semi] automatic pistol made for Colt. Since then, the .45 ACP has become a beloved round, even after being phased out of US military service in the 1980’s. Despite that, many Special Forces continue to use the round, as do quite a few law enforcement officers. With civilian shooters, however, the .45 certainly has lost no followers. The 230 grain bullet by Partizan has a muzzle velocity of 836 feet per second with approximately 355 foot pounds of energy. This is perfect for range training or simply just target practice. Additionally, it is not a bad choice for home defense where hollow point or “defensive” ammunition is prohibited.

Partizan is a primary munitions manufacturer of Serbia and has been since its founding in 1922 for the newly established nation of Yugoslavia. Well known for using quality components, including reloadable, brass cases, the company is also one of the few that produces less common calibers for more esoteric, military firearms.
