Details

The 9mm Luger was introduced in 1902 for the purposes of the German military, hence the pseudonym “para bellum.” Since then, the straight walled cased cartridge has proven not only to be exceedingly reliable but also eminently adaptable to new bullet technologies as the cartridge continues into a second century of service, showing little sign of being fully replaced any time soon. The 124 grain full metal jacket bullet by Aguila has a muzzle velocity of 1115 feet per second with 364 foot pounds of energy. While there is little ballistic difference between this round and the more popular 115 grain, the marginal increase in bullet weight may assist pistols that have experienced some cycling issues. Otherwise, this is a suitable round for range training and target practice.

Begun in 1961 in Mexico, Aguila is one of the largest manufacturers of quality rimfire ammunition in the world. That attention to reliable service is extended to their line of centerfire ammunition, complete with reloadable cases, and a line of defense and sporting ammunition products as well. Aguila range ammunition is used by top performing competitors simply because that reputation for quality performance is founded on a basis of fact.
