Details

The 10mm Auto was designed in the 1980s as a sporting round but very quickly was considered as a service round for the FBI. While briefly adopted by the Feds, it was also found to have more recoil than many agents could handle, so there was a quick redesign to create a 10mm short, aka the .40 S&W. The 10mm, however, continued to gain followers by those looking for a potent personal defense round, be it on the streets or in the woods. Such is the purpose of this 180 grain jacketed hollow point bullet by Partizan exits the muzzle at 1082 feet per second with 468 foot pounds of energy. While not as fast or hard hitting as a .357 magnum, it can open up to create wider wound channels and, perhaps more importantly, be loaded into a firearm with more capacity than just five or six shots.

Partizan began as a national ammunition maker for Yugoslavia and continues in that role to this day for Serbia. That reliability the Serbs demand from their ammo is present in their commercial lines of both target and personal defense ammunition. It is a “hope it never happens” scenario, but if it does the knowledge that your firearm has cycled dozens if not hundreds of PRVI rounds at the range will be a great comfort when it really matters.
