Details

Like the .30-06, the .270 Winchester was developed from the .30-03 cartridge and introduced in 1925 with Winchester’s venerable Model 54 bolt action rifle. Loaded with different weight bullets, the cartridge became one of the most versatile chambers available for use in large game and long distance silhouette shooting. While public acceptance appeared reluctant at first, it’s popularity notably took an upswing after World War II, potentially as a result of a great many surplus rifles available and the desire to rechamber them in a domestic “sporting” caliber.

The 130 grain soft point bullet by PRVI has a muzzle velocity of 3051 feet per second with 2677 foot pounds of energy. This is a superb, flat shooting bullet ideal for hunting mid to large game in North America.

PRVI Partizan ammunition has equally experienced a growing popularity in the US since the end of the 1990’s. Originally the state munitions manufacturer for Yugoslavia, the company still is a state producer for Serbia: a county that is notably not complacent in its need for arms or quality ammunition. PRVI’s commercial line is produced with reloadable cases for additional value to hand loaders seeking to make their custom rounds.
