30 Luger Ammo

.30 Luger ammunition, also known as the 7.65x21mm Parabellum or 7.65mm Luger, was developed by George Luger and Hugo Borchardt in Germany in the late 19th century for the Luger Parabellum pistol. It shares many similarities with its larger, more famous 9mm counterpart, and many handguns chambered in one caliber can be converted to the other by simply swapping barrels. Several European countries including Finland, Switzerland, and Germany used this ammo for military sidearms. SIG, Browning, Beretta, and even Ruger have made firearms chambered for it.

An accurate cartridge, .30 Luger ammunition is not quite as powerful as its 9x19mm cousin but produces even less recoil. Ammo for this caliber typically fires a relatively light bullet in the 90 grain range at a relatively high muzzle velocity of around 1,200 feet per second. Notable manufacturers of .30 Luger ammo include Fiocchi and Prvi Partizan.
