375 H&H Magnum Ammo

Introduced in 1912 under the lengthy name of ".375 Belted Rimless Nitro-Express," the .375 H&H Magnum eventually took on the name of its creator, British rifle manufacturer Holland & Holland. This powerful cartridge is so effective that it remains in wide use for big game hunting over a century later.

.375 H&H Magnum ammo fires heavy bullets at a muzzle velocity of 2,600 to 3,000 feet per second. 300 grain bullets are ideal for larger game, as they are well suited to defeating thick hides and then mushrooming when it counts. For deer and other thin-skinned game, a lighter 200-250 grain projectile ensures faster expansion and a reduced risk of overpenetration.

These bullet weights do not have much effect on the point of impact, a peculiar property of .375 H&H ammo that has saved many a hunter from fiddling with his or her optics in the field. With a varied selection of ammo that produces similar external ballistics, shooters can be prepared to adapt to different types of game quickly, before they get away!
