Details

Introduced in 1873 for the popular Colt Single Action Army and Winchester 1873 series of rifles and carbines, the .45 Long Colt has come to symbolize the Wild West from cowboy to “Indian fighter” to white hat at high noon. While eventually replaced in both military and civilian use, it has remained a popular caliber choice - many Single Action Shooter Society (SASS) members will say the *only* caliber choice – for plinking, target and competition shooting. The 250 grain lead flat nosed bullet by Sellier & Bellot exits the muzzle at 708 feet per second with 279 foot pounds of energy. This is a perfect round for target shooting as well as for use in the aforesaid SASS style competitions. Safe for both modern firearms as well as antiques so long, of course, that have been cleared by a competent gunsmith.

Sellier & Bellot has made a reputation out of manufacturing less than common calibers and is quite well regarded for providing cases that are readily reloadable for additional value. This product is often available in the retro designed branding to further the impression of 19th century styling: the perfect accessory to your wild west rig.

This product is a single box of Sellier & Bellot 45 Long Colt ammo. Inside, you’ll find 50 rounds ready to fire. Looking for more ammo? Save per round with our bulk 600 round pack of the same ammunition here.
