Details

World War II proved to be the proving ground for a great many inventions that are still used to this day. One was the use of intermediate calibers that could be controlled in full or semiautomatic fire while delivering more energy on target than any of the pistol calibers used in sub machine guns. In 1943 the Soviets began developing what would become the 7.62x39, a cartridge that, thanks to Soviet Cold War exports, has become one of the most prolific military calibers in the world. The 123 grain bullet by Wolf has an approximate muzzle velocity of 2396 feet per second with 1555 foot pounds of force. This is a range training and target round suitable for use in any number of the military style rifles chambered in this caliber.

Wolf Ammo was originally made at the Tula munitions plant in Russia to the same standards that the Russian military expects from their service munitions. Today the company procures its ammo from multiple European sources that never the less continue to meet the same standards of reliability that both this cartridge and the Wolf name is known for.
