Details

The original caliber of the famous Luger pistol, the .30 Luger (7.65x21) was descended, like the firearm it was made for, from the C93 Borschardt. The shorter case than the parent – and shorter than the 7.63 Mauser also – enabled a better grip and shorter toggle action for cycling rounds. Though Germany replaced the .30 with the 9mm Luger, many other countries kept this caliber for Luger pistols and other firearms well past World War II, ensuring quite a few that survived were not chambered to 9mm which was common. The 93 grain full metal jacket bullet by Fiocchi has a muzzle velocity of 1200 feet per second with up to 304 foot pounds of energy. This is a good training and target shooting round for keeping a .30 Luger chambered firearm active at the range.

Started in 1876 Italy, Fiocchi ammunition has been at the front of every metallic cartridge development in the modern age, which is to say pretty much all of it. And when it comes to older, less familiar calibers, the company is one of the few that helps shooters not be completely dependent upon old stock. More than three quarters of all their ammunition sold in the United States is manufactured in Ozark, Missouri. Brass cased and boxer primed, Fiocchi is also sought after by handloaders of these rarer calibers.
