Details

The .32 Automatic Colt Pistol cartridge was introduced in 1899 as John M. Browning's first pistol cartridge. His intent was to create a reliable cartridge able to be fired in a simply designed, direct blowback pistol that could function reliably and accurately. His success in this effort is made manifest in the literally hundreds of different firearms that have been created and chambered in this round. It was the initial police semi auto round in the early 1900's in both the US and Europe, where it is known as the 7.65 Browning. The .32 ACP is also able to be used in .30 caliber bolt action, military service rifles with the use of a chamber insert. Hornady's 60 grain jacketed hollow point has a muzzle velocity of 1000 feet per second with 133 foot pounds. As a defensive round, it is one of the best .32 ACP rounds available on the market today.

Hornady's production of premium hunting and defense ammunition began in the 1960's after years of producing bullet jacketing on US surplus machinery. Today the Hornady branding is trusted by private citizens and law enforcement alike for delivering Extreme Terminal Performance (XTP) when the shot counts the most.
