Details

.357 Sig ammunition was developed by Sig Sauer in the early 1990s to create a semi automatic cartridge that duplicates the performance of the .357 magnum. It is one of the most successful bottle necked centerfire cartridge of the later 20th century as it successfully delivered what it was designed to do: superior penetration and, with defensive rounds, transfer of energy into the target. Similar to the .40 S&W, the .357 Sig is a shortened 10mm Auto that was then necked down to a 125 grain for increased pressure while not significantly increasing felt recoil. The full metal jacketed, flat nose round by PRVI has a muzzle velocity of over 1500 feet per second with over 650 foot pounds of energy. This offers impressive penetrative characteristics, but is not considered a defense round as a result. This is for range and training.

Starting out as the primary ammunitions producer for Yugoslavia, PRVI adopted the name Partizan after producing ammunition for Tito's resistance fighters during the Nazi occupation during World War II. Today it provides ammunition for the Serbian military as well as for commercial export. Fully reloadable with boxer primers, the brass cases offer still more value to US shooters who have found PRI Partizan PPU to be a quality cartridge for their training needs.
