Since 1952 the .308 Winchester has become one of the most common cartridges not only in the S but throughout the word. Physically the same as the 7.62x51mm (NATO) that was introduced two years later in 1954, the .308’s versatility in being able to be fired in both chambers explains its wide use as both a sporting and a military cartridge. It is considered the natural next step up from the popular 2.23/5.56. The 145 grain, full metal jacketed bullet by PRVI Partizan exits the muzzle at 2837 feet per second and 2596 foot pounds of energy. For the shorter case and bolt throw, it loses only a bit of energy from the US service round – the .30-06 Springfield – it replaced This 500 round half case lot is perfect for the range training, target shooting and especially for competitions.

PRVI Partizan (frequently headstamped PPU) is a Serbian munitions manufacturer that has been in business for almost a century since the creation of the Yugoslavian state. Anyone familiar with Balkan history is also aware that the residents of that area demand reliable ammunition, and PRVI has delivered. So dedicated to ensuring national security, the company was even utilized by Tito’s resistance during the German occupation of WWII, after which the company adopted the name Partizan. The commercial line of PRVI maintains that dependability and is offered in boxer primed, reloadable cases.
