Details

Developed in 1896 for Smith & Wesson's new Hand Ejector model revolver with its swing out cylinder, the .32 S&W Long was made from a lengthened case of the earlier .32 S&W. By 1903, it was loaded with smokeless powder to similar pressures of the earlier black powder cartridge. While not in common modern usage, the .32 S&W Long is a notably accurate round, leading to several high end target grade firearms still in production along with a great many older or antique firearms that are still able to function. The 98 grain lead round nosed (LRN) bullet has a muzzle velocity of over 785 feet per second with about 125 foot pounds of energy. This low velocity and weight helps with accuracy, therefore making this an ideal target round.

PRVI Partizan has been making ammunition since 1922 for the newborn nation of Yugoslavia. After the breakup of the that country, it continues to make ammunition for both the Serbian military as well as for commercial export. PRVI is famous for making many of the more unusual or obsolete rounds, yet with a quality that meets or exceeds military standards. Brass cased with boxer primers adds additional value to this product to reloaders.
