Details

The .300 Winchester Magnum (WinMag) was developed by Winchester in 1963 with the mind of taking the larger, more potent belted magnum rifle rounds such as the .375 H&H Magnum and the .338 Winchester Magnum but making it capable of firing the .30 caliber / 7.62mm bullet like the .30-06 or .308 cartridges. The result was a very dynamic, long range and accurate round that has been adopted by many hunters of large game as well as military and police units for tactical purposes. The 150 grain soft point bullet by PRVI Partizan has a muzzle velocity of 3250 feet per second with over 3518 foot pounds of energy. This is offered as a hunting cartridge capable of taking down game as large as moose at considerable distances.

PRVI Partizan is relatively new to US markets compared though has been making ammunition for almost a hundred years, since the creation of the Yugoslav state in 1922. As a state munitions manufacturer, PRVI has provided reliable cartridges to a nation that demands dependability in its means of defense. Balkan history is rife with conflict, and the Serbs – the inheritors of PRVI (PPU) – continue to rely on this for national defense as well as commercial export. As always, PRVI brass is boxer primed and reloadable.
