Details

Introduced by Winchester in 1955, the .243 is one of the most versatile rifle calibers ever produced. A necked down .308 case, the .243 in lighter bullet weights is a high-performance varmint and target round capable of impressive long-range performance. In heavier, 90+ grain weights it is capable of being a competent deer rifle up to medium range. Its lighter recoil also makes it ideal for an introductory hunting rifle or for shooters who are recoil sensitive while its diameter just makes the legal minimum for areas that have such restrictions. The 90 grain soft point bullet by PRVI has a muzzle velocity of 3100 feet per second with 1910 foot pounds of energy. This is a good multi-purpose sporting round capable of annihilating varmints at range and putting venison on the table.

Serbian munitions maker PRVI Partizan has become increasingly well known in the States as a manufacturer of quality ammunition, a fact well known in Europe for most of the 20th century. The company was founded in 1922 with the creation of Yugoslavia and continues on today as the main supplier of the Serbian military – a military branch that maintains a constant state of readiness and high demands of its equipment. Cases are fully reloadable for additional value and proof of quality.
