Details

The .357 Magnum was introduced in 1934 at the request of law enforcement agencies looking to upgun their revolver carrying officers to compete with the motorized bank robbers and gangsters of the day. While mobsters typically did not tangle with police – it was bad for business – the motorized bank robbers frequently resorted to overwhelming firepower as well as fast cars as the primary tools of their trade. Smith & Wesson’s efforts by stretching a .38 Special cartridge for more powder and the use of a large primer answered the call so well it continues to this day as a popularly chosen police round as well as one for sporting and personal defense. The 158 grain semi jacketed hollow point bullet by Remington has a muzzle velocity of 1235 feet per second with muzzle energy of about 525 foot pounds. This is perfectly suited for keeping on hand for either personal defense or for hunting.

Ammunition by Remington enjoys a reputation for quality and dependability associated with Remington Arms, established in 1816. Manufactured in Lonoke, Arkansas, this half case lot of premium defense ammo is made with reloadable brass cases for additional value to hand loaders.
