The .45 Glock Automatic Pistol (GAP) ammo is the only cartridge associated with and for the exclusive use of Glock firearms. The objective of the round, introduced in 2003, was to deliver .45 ACP ballistics in a handgun that used the same frame as Glock’s popular 9mm/.40/.357 Sig line of firearms. This required a shorter cased bullet loaded to slightly higher pressures to match the ACP’s performance.
